The Team

Picture

Darrell Johnston

I grew up in Leon, IA and graduated with my Masters Degree from the University of South Carolina.

I am passionate about documentaries, adventure, community, good storytelling, and celebrating with champagne. My career has taken me coast to coast, north and south, down a river in Arkansas, on stage with Dolly Parton, and into the interior of Alaska.

My passion is telling stories  that make people proud of where they're from.

Josiah Laubenstein

I was raised in Phoenix, Arizona, completed my undergrad in St. Paul, Minnesota, bounced around to Wisconsin and New York for a bit, earned my Masters Degree at the University of South Carolina and I now live with my wife, Rachel (who provides constant love and support), in Lanesboro, MN.

I like stories that have a little magic in them, especially if it creeps up on you.

I hope the films we make share all of this and more with you and I am grateful to all who have joined us in our journeys.
